When the Northern hemisphere is gearing up for summer, it’s ski season in New Zealand. Ski season is typically from mid June to late September, with optimal conditions usually in July and August. A wide range of ski fields are available on both the North and South Islands. Ski shuttles are available throughout the day, while ski lifts to most ski fields operate from 9am to 4pm. New Zealand’s ski industry has invested millions in state of the art snow machines, so you can be sure there’ll be excellent snow throughout the entire season.
