Your web site mentions that scenic plane flights over Tongariro National Park are not currently available. Is that permanent or is do you know a resumption date?

Thanks so much for your question. Plane Flights - Mountain Air (Tongariro National Park) was unfortunately closed down due to covid impacts and we are yet to be advised if or when this company may be re-opening. As soon as we are advised we will update our site to reflect the changes.

Unfortunately this flight is currently unavailable! However, we do have a similar flight over Tongariro National Park from Taupo. This flight is 50miniute flight where you fly over the famous Tongariro Crossing and get incredible Views of the Maori Rock Carvings & Waikato River!
