This 1 hour Tekapo farm tour experience with Go Tekapo introduces visitors to key elements of New Zealand farm life. Watch a live Merino sheep shearing demonstration and learn how skilled shearers remove the wool in one piece using traditional techniques. Discover why Merino wool is prized worldwide for its quality, and hear how sustainable farming practices are maintained at Mt Hay.
Next up is a working sheepdog demonstration, where you'll watch in amazement as trained dogs display their agility and intelligence while herding sheep across open farmland.
