Yes, on the Lord of the Rings Safari of the Scenes tour in Queenstown there are plenty of stops along the way where you can get out of the vehicle and walk around, take photos etc.

Children under 5 years travel free of charge on the Nomad Safari of the Scenes tour from Queenstown. When booking, please mention in the 'additional information' field that you have a toddler with you.

If you choose the Nomad Safari of the Scenes, you will visit Lord of the Rings filming locations around Queenstown, Skippers Canyon, Arrowtown and out towards the small town of Glenorchy. The Nomad Skippers Canyon tour takes you deep into the historic Skippers Canyon, where you can try your hand at gold panning and learn about the historical significance of this area to early pioneers. Both tours are run by the same guiding company so you can be assured of a similar high quality experience.

The four wheel drive vehicles hold up to 6 passengers so there will be other travellers on this tour with you. When you book online via our website just select one person on your preferred date. You can book via the Book Now button at the top and bottom of the page.

The 4WD vehicles used on the full day Lord of the Rings tour from Queenstown take up to 6 passengers. If you have more than 6 people in your group, there is also an 8 seater van available that you could go in together. You would just need to note that you are wanting to go in the 8 seater in the "additional information" field when you make your booking.
